We would like to inform you about the flights to Lukla that may affect your itinerary. Ramechhap/Manthali, a 5- to 6-hour drive from Kathmandu, is the departure point for flights to Lukla during the busiest months (March, April, May, October, and November). Flights are available from Kathmandu itself during the slower months of January, February, June, July, August, September, and December.
Please be aware that airlines make monthly decisions on flight operations based on passenger volume. Lukla flights frequently experience delays or cancellations due to factors such inclement weather, airport traffic, runway conditions, and terrain difficulties. Therefore, it’s a good idea to factor in an additional day or two to your itinerary if you’re planning a trek in the Everest region.
